How can you get involved?

By getting involved in a social movement. A social movement can get enough individuals and power to make people and governments think and to stop fighting, to create a peaceful world.

The obvious answer is that people get involved through elections, through making decisions on the local level about their own development.

3. Heading:
As global citizens, we stand against the greatest injustice of our time: extreme poverty. Because we know that a world that deprives 1.3 billion people of their basic rights and opportunities is unjust, and unacceptable.

4. Heading:
Learn more about poverty, tell your friends – spread the word about global problems. Show your actions through a video, presentation, commitment. Share your opinions with people from other countries and continents.

5. Heading:
A world with fairtrade is a world where justice and sustainable development are most important. Fairtrade standards let local farmers win on global markets.

6. Heading:
Think critically. Don’t settle only on one source of information. Find out more to make your own opinion.

7. Heading:
1 euro is enough to buy a hen and set up a business.
2 euro is enough to save the life of a child suffering from diarrhea.
3 euro is enough to secure water for 12 days for a person who experienced a natural disaster.
5 euro is enough to protect a pregnant woman from a dangerous infection.
15 euro is enough to save a child from blindness caused by the lack of vitamins.
20 euro is enough to buy 5 trees and set up a business.
30 euro is enough to vaccinate 30 children against most diseases.
75 euro is enough to secure food and water for 40 days for people who experienced a natural disaster.
